THE RIGHT WORSHIPFUL BROTHER WILLIAM BRIAN NORTON

Born on 23rd December 1935 in Northumberland, England, the P. G. M. entered the Royal Navy in 1951 and was placed on their list in 1978. He was Initiated into Freemasonry in the Phoenix Lodge No 257, Portsmouth, England, (Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight) and Passed and Raised in that Lodge. He was Installed as their Worshipful Master in 2001 and then appointed Past Provincial Grand Standard Bearer, Province of Hampshire and Isle of Wight in 2007.

On retirement from the Royal Navy, he joined an International Company and became resident in Holland, Norway and Nigeria, joining Masonic Lodges in each Country.

The P. G. M. finally retired to live in Spain in 1985, and became a Founder Member of Fuengirola Lodge No. 96 in 1996 and was Installed as their Master in 2002.

The Spanish Provincial career of the P. G. M. began in 2002 when he was appointed Gran Lismonero, then Gran Secretario in 2006 and Gran Maestro in 2008. Within The United Grand Lodge of Spain he was appointed Past Grand Hospitalario in 2006 and Senior Grand Warden in 2007.
